Green Design
Some people still call green design (or design with low environmental impact) a trend. I do not. The fact is that trends, by definition, come and go; green design, however, is here to stay and is the future of the building industry.
While this has been developing for some time in commercial design, an exciting recent development has been REGREEN, the first residential green design standards. Developed by the USGBC (US Green Building Council) and ASID (American Society of Interior Designers), REGREEN has launched a website: www.regreenprogram.org
